Hey DN -- stoked to share our latest with you all!

UI kits are everywhere, and in theory they’re almost magical - instant access to beautifully designed Sketch files that you can use right away in your own designs. What’s not to love?

But in reality, UI kits are mostly just smoke and mirrors. They’re just pictures of features that don’t get you any closer to the actual functioning product you’re designing for in the first place. It’s a great starting point for design, but we think that beautiful starting points should also include functionality.

We’re introducing something different—a kit full of features that are usable and able to be deployed into your application out of the box. Meet Core - the first Feature Kit from Mason.

With Core, you can build a beautiful hero banner, a slick navigation bar, a data-powered content feed, or an insanely complex Stripe-powered checkout flow… or any combination you can imagine. Just like every other feature in Mason, the features in your kit just work, in your own frontend.

Tweak your styles, connect API endpoints, drop the code into your product’s codebase, and you’re live.

Building with Mason means never reinventing front-end solutions again. Building with Core gets you started at light speed.

We can’t wait to see what you’ll create. Try us out for free today and get in touch!

Hey Mike! Webflow is a great tool, but we're just a bit different in our approach. We're quite a bit different in terms of letting you hot edit deployed features even after you're done with the code stage. More detail in the comment below, but hit me up at tom@trymason.com if you ever want to chat!

Hey Marcel! Thanks for dropping us the note and it's a really good question.

    1. We're actively working on a public sandbox/demo site right now that you can use while logged out to check out the power of our builder. We're a lot more than background colors! We're design + configuration + functionality. So the playground would include stuff like a fully functional Authentication suite with 2FA, where you could hot swap different backend endpoints, hot swap Authy API keys, hot swap Google/FB OAuth keys, and see the feature actually work. Best of all you can export it from Mason when you're done and run it in your existing product.

    2. Your workflow powered by Mason gets really interesting :)

We imagine your workflow like this: Figma/Sketch/Mason -> Skin existing features (or create from scratch in Mason) -> Export fully functional Mason feature -> Drop into VS code -> Deploy

But it gets really compelling after this step. With Mason, all of those features you dropped into your code and deployed can still be edited in Mason. Quick design changes? Just open your feature in our builder, edit and publish. Your updates will automatically be live in production.

We're solving for the step after deployment as much as improving the process to build in the first place. All Mason features are always hot editable in our builder. Deploy the first time, and edit them / publish changes in your deployed app infinitely.

I'd love to have you check us out! Send me an email to tom@trymason.com and we'll get you in ASAP.

P.S. thanks for the design love -- all credit for that goes to Tomas!
