I feel like VR is a rocket taking off and we're all in for a bumpy ride before we hit orbit. Let's make the ride a little smoother and share our experience as we build for this new medium.

I'm looking for good writers as I'm a little rusty at this stuff. If you want to share your experience and have some nice article ideas, let me know, I'm sure people would love to hear more from the VR/AR design trenches.

A couple of things I learned about the photography industry while building a product that failed. Being a creative field it has certain similarities to the design industry, and maybe there are a few photography enthusiasts among you. I'm curious what your thoughts are, about the similarities between designers and photographers.

The guys over at Airbnb or Slack might disagree.

Hehe, really nice. I think someone pulled a similar stunt recently but for Airbnb with a resume that looks like their Host profile page. Some really go the extra mile for that dream job, I hope she gets it.

Hey Andrew, I agree, some skills will translate easily to VR/AR, in fact maybe UI/UX designers understand the user's needs and behaviour better than game designers do, as they were exposed to a wide variety of digital products. I was referring more in regards to the technical skills when I said obsolete. They will need to adapt to catch up their fellow game designers.

Yes Sacha, I kinda agree with you. UI designers that are building today's web and mobile interfaces either need to adapt and learn building 3D interfaces, or their skills might become obsolete in the near future. There are tons of professionals in the game industry right now, but the demand for people with those skills will grow, which is a good thing.

I really love the preference tests over there, but they come so rare. All I get are 5 Second Tests, which are the worst, because most of the time the people asking for feedback don't know how to write the questions.
