We've been using Craft CMS for a while now and we used to use Architect plugin to manage migrating the CMS settings. However we've now started using into https://plugins.craftcms.com/migrationassistant which may be better considering it stores the migration data in a way which can be passed through a version control system like git.
I learnt by just re-doing my own portfolio website over and over. I kept building it, then learning new skills and that gave me the urge to redo it better each time. So, for the most part, I just used my basic CSS and HTML skills learnt in a short module within my graphic design course at Uni and built on them with https://stackoverflow.com/ (although people on there can be a little ruthless to beginners.)
I have heard https://www.codecademy.com/is one of the best places to really start from the beginning. Well structured, bite-sized lessons. Once you get past the frustrating bit and are able to create basic websites you will really start to enjoy it :)
good luck.
HTML/SCSS/CSS/Jquery As a UX/UI designer, teaching myself to code was the best thing I ever did for my career. It's also not as scary as it looks. It only gets tricky when you start learning raw javascript.
If it's for websites, https://hypershoot.com is excellent.
I disagree... most of these startups are unheard of, so let's be honest, who cares what the company name is. The titles are subjective, so again, not so relevant. So, that leaves the most important thing that I want to see when scrolling down the page is the tags. These tell me whether they are relevant to me and my project. Primarily the pink category tag.
By the way, I think the site, on the whole, looks good and stands out. Colour palette could be seen as a bit jarring but I actually like it.
This is true... However a lot of the websites I do these days are a little more complex. lots of content...
for example http://www.darwinairport.com.au/
These days if all a client requires is blog/about etc I suggest that they go to squarespace as it's just not worth doing.
after now teaching myself a bit of craft... matrix looks great. Thanks a lot for introducing me to it.

Craft CMS beats ease-of-use for non-technical people any day... Also has a similar live preview feature to Tina CMS, and with far more capability. https://craftcms.com/
