Like many of you, I build a lot of different products and usually follow a pretty standard process when doing so. One part of that process is marketing/promotion (something I'm terrible at doing and find it saps a lot of my energy and time).
I've always wanted a one-step solution: Something that will do the tedious work for me whilst I spend my time shipping. I discovered a variety of automated sites and bots, however many of them had ridiculous price tags or resulted in a lot of unnecessary spam. After the launch of my most recent project, I decided to spend a weekend creating something myself.
Instaaa.com is a mass marketing tool/service which will promote your startup on more than 365 directories with a single click. Submissions are manual (handled by me and a small group of people I hired from reddit for the next two months). Submitting your startup is a free process and will automatically add you to a waitlist. The option to skip this waitlist and promote your startup immediately costs $129.
The entire submission process is public and can be tracked step-by-step at www.instaaa.com/status. I wanted to create something that felt safe and transparent, whilst being a tool I would personally use. Instaaa meets that criteria and has proved successful with multiple test startups over the course of a week.
I'm online all day to answer any questions or enquiries you may have regarding Instaaa. You can also reach out to me on Twitter, @ryanheybourn.
A few months ago I decided to sell some of my projects on Flippa. After jumping through multiple hoops to get listed, slow support and various fees - I decided to build a better alternative. Everyone meet Bidhype!
Bidhype is a digital marketplace for websites and online businesses. It costs just $10 to add a listing and an optional escrow system is available for secure transactions between buyers and sellers. I've built Bidhype to be simplistic, whilst remaining a powerful platform for users to buy and sell.
Currently Bidhype is in an early launch stage and there's only a couple of live listings. I've been working tirelessly on it for months and I'd rather push it to you folks and work on new features/fixes based on your feedback, than spend my time building stuff you don't want. I hope you all can understand this and help me better the site over the next few months.
A huge thanks to everyone who helped me with development and feedback. I'm excited to see what the future holds.
