I hate how Skype looks and feels, but I haven't found anything else that's able to host a decent video call on a not so decent connection.

Any suggestions?

D3 is used for at least some of it. You can tell by inspecting the time axis elements on the chart—they have __data__ properties on them which is what D3 uses for data binding under the hood.

This is rad. The only thing I noticed that irked me is the the gestures for switching between DN and HN.

You can swipe to right right anywhere on HN to get to DN, but swiping to the left on DN shows the comments. It would be nice to be able to swipe anywhere on DN to get to HN.
