Yeah I think it makes for a much happier work life when you embrace what you do and let people come to you for it. Of course that takes time but it's very satisfying when someone comes looking for what you would be fighting yourself to not do.

I’ve experienced most of OP’s problems and have started to feel the same way. Hopefully it’s not too late to steer the ship

Same, it's like scrolling through a video of a powerpoint. Font looks nice enough though

I use origami for this. Fingers crossed the fb guys open source this one day because it's a brilliant tool.

Websites, I tend to design for tablet portrait, then go out and in from there. It's kind of a defensive approach as many elements at that ~768 size will scale both directions.

  • Posted to How Dropbox handles downgrades, Feb 26, 2018

I had to completely abandon dropbox because it would crash when trying to delete large amounts of files I needed to in order to downgrade. Could either keep paying what I was to host the files or just not use Dropbox at all. Chose the latter

I'm getting a lot of use from Origami at the moment, for native iOS and Android especially. Designing with kind a hybrid pixels/math approach gets me a lot closer to the end product than working in a static environment like Sketch did. Of course Sketch is invaluable for providing assets into the prototypes/screens, and those assets are usually app-ready as a side effect. I just wish it wasn't dependant on the grace of some Facebook department for it's future

+1 I'd have a lot more faith in the performance of the product if the promo page wasn't animating at a couple of frames a second.
