    I remember the article (though not the source), which nailed it pretty great. And as far as i remember, they where pretty straight forward, in that it wasn't the UX or UI of Amazon that made it a success, more of a despite of.

    Hopefully it will just evolve, and become something different (we have already come along way from Metro to IOS).

    But just like skeuomorphism still has its place, so will Flat Design, when something new pops up :-)

    Agree with most. It's great, but not yet ready to replace ST3.

    A lot of Textmate plugins have been exported to Atom, but it is still missing a lot of "key" plugins, like the ones you mentioned.

    That being said, this is still early close Beta, so it's really not fair to compare it to ST3, which has been around for some time now.

    I would worry though, if i where Brackets! :)
