You probably wouldn't! The beauty of it is that it could just sit in your phone all the time if all your chargers are magnetic

I signed up and got a phone call from their WelcomeBot. Awesome ;P

Only difficulty now is the classic problem with things like this, how to get people to sign up and switch from their existing solution.

Steve Jobs was a famous designer, there's a movie about him, and a trailer has just been released. That makes it news which is interesting to designers :)

A lot of hate going on in this thread. Let me remind you of the two people at the helm:

Directed by Danny Boyle, responsible for numerous classics in a few genres including Trainspotting and 28 Days Later.

Written by Aaron Sorkin, the man who brought us The West Wing, The Social Network, Moneyball and Studio 60.

I'm not saying a good pedigree is a guarantee for a good film, but it certainly can help.

I'd also like to point out that this film is based on the Walter Isaacson Biography of the same name, for which Sony has the official rights (http://deadline.com/2011/10/sony-pictures-acquiring-apple-icon-steven-jobs-book-for-feature-film-180666/) and that this film has been in the works with Sorkin on board since 2011, two years before Jobs was released with Ashton Kutcher starring. So, this isn't some half-arsed attempt to capitalise on the failure of the first film.

    Have some faith, folks :)

EDIT: Also, Fassbender may be good, but he's no Noah Wyle ;) http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1239128320/tt0168122?ref_=tt_pv_md_2

Alex, this is such a good video. Really well produced. Thanks for sharing!

EDIT: By the way I say this as a fellow musician, I've had a lot of experience recording music and some filming myself at the same time, too. Nowhere near as pro as you though! It's really interesting to see someone else's process. I'm gonna nick a bunch of ideas, techniques and vocab from you ;)

EDIT2: I love all the the honesty about the tools you use by the way, without any irony. "I have no idea how these work, it's all about twisting the knobs until you find something that sounds nice." - a lot of videos and guides like this really go way too deep into the technical stuff.

Some of this reads like Jobs was trolling. Two or three make sense but some them really seem like nonsense or ludicrously platitudinal.
