This is on the nose. I've been/am guilty of this too! Fortunately I've finally got an idea I'm excited enough about to do/share and have been steadily hacking away at it this week. Still can't get that excited about meetups though ;)

Reminds me a lot of Fleksy. It already supports themes and emojis, and the current beta has cursor control, among other extensions (like a GIF keyboard)

It definitely seems like there'd be a good list of things that need to be worked out, but I would love to participate in something like this, definitely as an "exchangee" and possibly as a "host". Keep us updated :)
