    Nice one David!

    Already mentioned but I think the only confusing part is the lack of heading for projects, but, that's only because you're starting with Portfolio & Blog project. I kind of assumed it was some kind of navigation within the darn.es site.

    I like it overall though, nice and clean :). I see you updated the 404 page slightly too…

    Cocoapotrace! - http://www.geocities.jp/applescriptdepot/iWeb/AppleScriptDepot/Cocoapotrace.html

    Perfect for lazy-converting raster images to vectors.

    (For a front end developer role, should have mentioned that!)

    +1 for GitHub Pages.

    Dropbox also has some static site hosting features (though I have a feeling you have to jump through a few hoops to get it set up on new accounts).

  • Posted to Show DN: Last.fm Now Playing jQuery plugin for teams / studios, Mar 14, 2014

    I've made a Now Playing jQuery plugin for displaying the most recently played / scrobbled track on Last.fm.

    The plugin works out what was last played from multiple users (something I found missing from existing plugins), so it's super handy for studio websites (the reason why I built it).

    Let me know your thoughts, if you spot any bugs, and if you end up using it anywhere!

    We've been using Slack at work for internal communication, pretty awesome so far.

    We've got some nice things going on with notifications from GitHub repos on push. We're possibly going to integrate Slack with our studio site at some point for quickly sharing some of the design / dev links we send around the studio.

    One of our developers made a lil Chrome extension for one-click sharing to Slack too.

    I tend to group CSS properties like you too, eg: top: 0; left: 0;. It makes sense to me.

    I also don't like the idea of placing prefixed properties before everything. If anything, they should go last.

    Not sure what you mean by that. They'd go last in my declarations if they were to do with styling, but the vendor prefixed property should always get declared before the non-prefixed property.

    .header__title { display: block; -webkit-box-shadow: 0 1px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.25); -moz-box-shadow: 0 1px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.25); -ms-box-shadow: 0 1px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.25); -o-box-shadow: 0 1px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.25); box-shadow: 0 1px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.25); }

    Prefixes are a hack, so we want to cascade to the standard property if it's available.
