Posted to So this downvote bombing thing is interesting ..., Apr 24, 2019 I've been raising the issue with the mods for two months now. Everybody's aware by now that downvoting was a wrong decision, in hindsight. It only helped voting rings by giving them the ability to sink good content while reducing the number of upvotes they needed to reach the frontpage.

Know a few friends that are running podcast sites on them (sparse content, highly trafficked) and a news aggregator for infosec-related topics (lots of content, less traffic). Also Smashing Magazine is also running on a static site (lots of content, highly trafficked).
If I'll need to create a news site these days, I'm going with a static site generator or a headless CMS myself too.
