Sure, copying is possible and happens often. But isn't the more probable explanation for pretty much each one of these examples, that the designs are simple and the designers got to the same place without knowing their niche German graphic design history?

Hi guys! I'm looking to get your feedback / input on this definition.

How best do we go about defining a new subfield? Does this represent what some of you might already be doing?

I'm trying to create this to become something bigger than myself that seeks to design that physical, visual, interactive layer in hardware that we all interact with. That awkward middle between industrial design and pixel design. Touchscreen interfaces might be one component (though someone more squarely in UX or UI might be needed to go deeper when it's a major component of a project) but I think we need someone who helps decide whether or not the touchscreen is there in the first place and does it based on user-centric & experiential metrics rather than on cost or a purely form-driven basis.

Made a fun little web app that helps you figure out which timezone it's sane for you to be waking up or going to sleep in right now. You can save it to your homescreen on iOS through Safari.

This is pretty okay except for the part where they have CONTENT AWARE MOVE FOR AFTER EFFECTS.

I'm usually a pretty skeptical person but time and time again, the content-aware features have actually outperformed the tech demo's in real use cases.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I removed the scroll detents code which seemed to make things way less buggy and jumpy on non-trackpads. I also changed the color transition to be 1.5 seconds to make it feel smoother and less abrupt.
