I agree with you, maybe it's not a 100% accurate representation of the design community worldwide. However, if the same group of designers uploaded more Sketch designs than Photoshop ones in 2016 compared to 2015, at least it tells a story that Sketch is really taking over. And more and more designers are moving towards Sketch to create product/web/UI designs.

And I think data from over 1M designs from over 100 countries is significant enough to make a statement like we did.

We're actually aware of the fact that Photshop and Illustrator has a significant market share in the community of digital designers. That's why we'd like to support more and more design formats in our upcoming updates of Avocode.

  • Posted to Nachos - an open source UI Kit for React Native, Jan 31, 2017

    Hello!

Some time after releasing the Guacamole UI kit for Sketch, Adobe Xd and Photoshop (https://avocode.com/guacamole/) we're now launching Nachos UI kit for React Native (https://avocode.com/nachos-ui/) to save developers some time.

Nachos is an open source UI kit, starting with 30 pre-coded, interactive, and fully customizable components. If you know any developer who likes building React Native apps, I'm sure this will make them quite happy.

    Thank you Vu

I'm sorry to hear that. We've actually been improving a product a lot lately. Improving Sketch UX is actually next on our roadmap. And with the next update you won't even have to use the Sketch plugin. You'll be able to just & drop it into Avocode or import it from Dropbox.

Let me know if you want to give it a try. Completely free for 3 months. Please e-mail me at vuhoang@avocode.com

Thanks for the comment actually! I am glad you asked :)

    Layers

I've actually included smart objects into the bitmap group because I felt like it belonged there. That would have made an 1.6% difference though.

Pattern fill was actually merged into the same group as Vectors actually. We've included all fills (color, gradient, pattern ) into this group. We could have probably excluded pattern fill and included into bitmaps but the difference would be really small - about 0.7%

    Layer effects

It's the percentage of layers that contained these style. 5% did not have any effects. We've only analyzed vector shapes for this. We could have present that more clearly.

    Paragraph style

All text justifications were below 1%, so we rounded that up.

I hope that answers your questions.

It should be any version of a PSD, Sketch or even jpg or png. It just depends on what you upload.
