1) This may not be a realistic view of actual usage. Compete.com has been way off in numbers in my experience. 2) You can look at this other way in terms of DN becoming a denser community with more repeat users than unique visits.
I'm pretty sure there is nothing to worry about. If there is a slight wind of this community fading out, a number of companies would kill to take the crown or want to keep DN alive as proprietory or open-source.
Ronan, it depends on how the documentation is meant to be used and at what stages of the project cycle. I frequently use Confluence that plays nicely with tools used by developers.
There have been cases where I created the first draft of documentation in Google docs, and once the content started to take shape moved the documentation to a more appropriate tool.
I would say 'Start with the content, not the tool'.
You can check useronboard.com for some great examples. Process depends on business needs and user goals.
You can create a shortcut in your document to replace acronym with full word. It would be better for the reader than to keep referring back.
The world is already full of jargons, buzzwords and lingos. Adding another one won’t be good for user’s (stakeholders) experience. :)
I’ve seen CEO’s rolling their eyes saying… IA what? Simplify my friend, simplify.
Thanks for posting the link. I was looking for images to use for number of Trello backgrounds and this treasure trove got me all I wanted. Thanks to Fox is Black too for collecting these.

We are hiring Sr UX Designer & User Researcher for intu in London. Great culture, massive opportunity for someone looking for a big challenge.
Mikel, I have used number of fancy tools mentioned here - LittleSnapper, Dragdis, Gimme Bar, Iceberg etc., and spent quite sometime with each of them. Their interface and feature set is pretty much the same and one extremely important thing they all of them lack is performance to deliver a smooth ux.
I’ve been in ‘shut up and take my money’ mode for years for whoever resolves this problem.
I keeping coming back to using screenshot shortcut commands in Mac and saving them in Dropbox by default. Who has got time for tagging, organising et all. Hope that helps. Thanks.

Sorry to hear that. They can steal your design and even experience to some extent but not the vision and learnings you gained as a result of spending time of your life on Cushion, which in my opinion is a beautifully executed app.
They might have guts to copy but not the resilience to keep going. They will fall as soon as they have risen by copying. May the force be with you.
