Thanks! Yes, definitely tedious. I was hoping to create something unique enough to engage developer/designer types at the cost of compromising usability for interestingness lol. Thanks for checking it out! :)
Works on desktop, most fun on mobile.
Haha cheers to that then :)
Lol I know the feeling. Is it a lot of code? Maybe re-write the whole thing.. it could be a chance to dive into the code again and spruce up :)
Yep! I'm in the middle of it now and there aren't so many changes.
Configuration for JS is different and tokens for Twitter/Facebook logins (not sure about Google/GitHub) don't persist but other than that it probably won't be more than a day's work
Maybe? The new features are similar to what parse offered before but I don't think that they'll cut so soon after a major release.
You could introduce this feature to the customer during the first app open, or initiate a sort-of 'bounce-to-the-left' on the first child element whenever you're presented with a list of that functionality.
In Spotify's app there's no explicit instruction about using swipes, but they are there and I guess customers usually find them on their own (when the feature they support isn't so important or can be found elsewhere).
Really great! I wish Insta would enter a night-mode feature when your time zone hits PM.
