    • don't underprice yourself because soms dude in your town does the same. He's fucking dumb, don't go with that..
    • get great accounting software so you're not paying an arm and a leg to your accountant. he'll love you for it.
    • get an accountant. Man I wasted at least €10k on taxes because of late payments, incorrect filings, etc etc
    • don't believe anything they say. "We'll get you more clients after this" is NEVER true
    • do get a backup computer. your computer will break down
    • get a backup system like Backblaze to backup your computer all the time. it's just $5/mo
    • separate your domains and hosting accounts.
    • on that same note: don't use GoDaddy for hosting, nor bluehost, nor site5 or any of other lame EIG-owned brands
    • have the best of the best contracts in place. jot down every darn detail in that contract or else you'll get screwed.
    • use a payment system your client likes, so invoices are paid faster. In The Netherlands this is iDeal, in Belgium this is Bancontact, in the US this is Stripe.
    • Don't use paypal for anything. they're wolves and untrustworthy
    • get a PREPAID mastercard so you can buy stuff online like fonts, graphics etc. why a prepaid card? so you can't overspend. Binge-buying on a drunk saturday night is dangerous.
    • on that same note: NEVER WORK UNDER THE INFLUENCE of anything. weed, alcohol, medications: just don't.
    • never EVER date a daughter / son / nephew / niece of one of your clients, it can only lead to trouble and mandatory discounts 'because we're family now'
    • on that same note: NEVER EVER work for family and friends. NEVER. it destroys any proper relation you have with those people.
    • get a car if you can afford it. it opens your world and makes dealing with appointments a lot easier and faster

    right click on the layer, select 'duplicate layer'. A modal pops up asking for the destination. you can choose any open document!
