It’s a cross platform password manager like 1Password or LastPass. Remember 1 password that unlocks all of your other accounts.

This site is illegible in dark mode. Text is black on a black background.

Over the past 3 years, I've slowly faded off of DN. There are some great members on here and I can't pinpoint exactly what's caused me to drift off but I think one more point that needs to be added is a commitment to continually building the community.

There were super cool events when I first joined that led to earning colors which have gone by the wayside. Cool things like the pixel header and pixel portrait were also awesome little details that kept this site exciting, but there are no real innovations in that area. It seems like the site is just in maintenance mode and I'm not sure that simply fixing current complaints without a commitment to future is enough to keep this site going.

Another vote for Hugo. I had a static site that I use to run that hosted all of the git documentation[1]. After bootstrapping the site had over 24,000 pages which finished compiling on my iMac in under a minute. Jekyll was so bad that it ran for a day before I killed the job because it never finished.

I love GitHub and have been using it since late 2011 but it seems like after the harassment incident, they literally stopped building any new features. So many other companies have caught up and GitLab is way ahead right now. I started a new project a few weeks ago and moved it from GitHub to GitLab. GitLabs GFM is way better than GitHubs, Gitlab actually has CI built right in so you'd on't have to use a separate system like Travis or Circle. They truly have unlimited private repos, not the small print qualifications that GitHub has[1]. It seems like GitLab found all of the pinpoints of GitHub and made the project a lot better.

FF Mark is a font I've really been into over the past year. I saw it being used for the Balance cryptocurrency wallet.

Very interesting external take. Definitely can't wait until part 3.
