Local communities tend to be more helpful and well managed.

  • Posted to Figmac - Make Figma feel more at home on the Mac., Sep 10, 2019

Hi Norm, does it support multiple tabs now? I can't seem to make it work.

Edit: I realized that Figma mac app is kinda different from their web app, they have a dedicated menu icon where if you click a file it automatically opens in a new tab. So on Figmac, to open a new tab, you have to right-click then "open-new-tab."

    Am I doing it wrong?

good article, a lot of great points, thanks for sharing! In my opinion, users don't really care much about the differences between checkboxes and switches but in most cases, a checkbox is a more intuitive and well-known pattern compared to switches. A few years from now I think switches will mature anyway.

I like it but please use a different font. A bit loud and too cartoonish, I mean you can still have the same vibe but doesn't have to look too loud and all caps all the time.

Been using overflow lately, really quick and useful when trying to communicate with the developers and the whole team.

    Hi Matt,

This is nice seeing that there's an actual moderator for designernews. I think it's not obvious until I click your profile.

Suggestion: Put a caption on people user name in the comment section. : e.g community staff, UX Designer at X Company Make the up button look more like a button: e.g. producthunt Allow to add photos and play videos inline, embed prototype, meaning not going to a new link. Improve mobile website.

I feel like Designer news is dying, sadly. I think just remove the downvote. What it does basically is removing a vote from someone who likes the post. Is it helpful?
