We (the team at Snipcart) really like how the guys at Chec packaged their checkout experience into a more developer-centric tool like Commerce.js. We've been encouraging this approach for a few years now, so it's great to see other players pushing it. I think that, depending on needs & resources, there's a level of flexibility to their product that some developers might really enjoy. So in terms of checkout only, Commerce.js would be more modular/flexible than Snipcart's "out-of-the-box" checkout experience/cart. But with our REST API, JS API, JSON crawler, webhooks & CSS customization, developers have managed to reach a high level of flexibility in design & functionality that impressed even us. Anyhow, opening and "fragmenting" our checkout flow a bit more for developers is also on the roadmap! We're juggling that with optimizing merchant favorites like abandoned carts retrievals & email templates. As for all the rest, you might need to skim through both products' (Chec/Commerce.js & Snipcart) feature sets to see what really corresponds to your specific needs.

Thanks for submitting the new site Alec! We were aiming for a soft launch, but both Designer News + Product Hunt features will do I guess. :)
