    Nailed it first go.

To be fair though... it's just followed the pattern of any/all online forums/communities. They launch to a closed or largely curated audience that is passionate about the subject matter and the quality of the input by members.

The time eventually comes when bugs have been identified and squashed, and enhancements made to the point that it's time to start thinking about how to start making money from the platform in order to pay for keeping the platform up and running.

Online ads/promos are largely blocked or just perceived/ignored as "white noise" these days, so the only way to attempt to get these promo efforts to cut through on a free site is simply through traffic. The logical way to easily increase the volume of traffic is to open the platform to the public, especially if that platform has already garnered some traction in the media.

Inevitably, it's at this point that the focused, informed opinion of the closed community quickly becomes diluted by self-promoters and ill-informed attention-seekers.

It happens time-after-time, forum-after-forum and DN certainly is no different in this regard.

I was going to say I’ve had success with using Pixave in the past (http://www.littlehj.com) but I don’t think there’s an iPhone app - just desktop and iPad iOS. Might be worth checking out though.

Is anyone else experiencing issues, as in it doesn't work at all anymore, with dragging .svg into the latest Sketch update? It just doesn't seem like you can drag and drop in, for example, icons from IconJar anymore...

    Or is it just me...

You may or may not be able to access this app -- Footy Live by Sportsmate Technologies Pty Ltd, but these guys make beautiful apps, and they've come up with a nice way to handle 8 tab bar items without using the standard overflow treatment.

They basically insert a small handle on the right hand edge of the screen within the tab bar which signals the ability to swipe the tab bar to the left to reveal a second selection of 5, or in their case 3, items.

Like everyone else has pointed out, however, this usage should still definitely be a last resort. Reducing and economizing the architecture should still definitely be your initial focus.

    Makes perfect sense.

I, for one, would switch it to night mode 24/7.

Look for the last section on the landing page titled "Multiple Libraries". That should answer your question.

That is, yes, library containers seems to be the strategy here. This will possibly be in order to effectively offer easier cloud synching options...

If anyone already has their noses inside, it would be great to see some screen shots?!?!

Actually, I did give Affinity a run recently and really enjoyed the experience - a definite contender for me.
