Thanks Philip! I agree. Gather is designed to keep only those important things on your desk and has limited space for a reason. I used to keep a mug with 30 pens in it but always reached for the same one, so Gather forced me to only keep out my favorites. I haven't read that book yet, but have heard good things and definitely resonate with its principles.
Thanks. Yeah that looks neat. I'm already working on other parts of the Gather System in addition to the main organizer. Not a full desk (yet) but some other key pieces.
Just launched our new site for Gather → gathersystem.com
Last year Gather raised over $430,000 on Kickstarter and now we finally have it available for purchase.
We (my brother and I) have spent the past 6 months designing and developing this from scratch and are really pumped with how it turned out, especially the configure page. We're using Shopify and Wordpress similar to how we built Ugmonk.
Would love to here your thoughts and feedback!
Yeah, it's unfortunate that many people have been burned by other Kickstarters and ruined people's expectations. We will not be one of those :)
Thanks Jake. No doubt, there are cheaper options out there. I wanted to create a premium product that feels in line with the quality of my Apple products. But maybe down the road we can offer a less expensive version. Thanks for the feedback!
100%. I've been designing and shipping products for 8 years so I'm no stranger to that amount of work this takes. We've shipped tens of thousands of product to over 65 countries and know this is a giant task. You can read more about my story here: http://ugmonk.com/about
Yeah I wish international shipping was cheaper but these are quite heavy and there's no cheap way to ship. Maybe we'll have a retailer in Australia that carries Gather someday :)
Thanks Maciej! Yes, I already have some other ideas for expansions and new modules. Those will come after the Kickstarter phase, but the possibilities are endless :)
Jeff (@ugmonk) here. Happy to answer any questions about Gather :)
Thanks for post!

Thanks Alex! Appreciate your backing the Kickstarter and supporting me to make Gather a reality. The track spacing and consistency is something we are trying to refine. We're finding out that wood is not a very forgiving material for this type of tight tolerance. And sounds like the feet could be improved as well.
Glad you are liking it even with those small imperfections. And feel free to send photos of your setup to info@gathersystem.com. Love seeing everyone's setup!
