Inconsolata. I have been using it since it came out, and it's by far my favorite coding typeface.

I tend to do the vast majority of my design work for the web or mobile applications, so much of my typography choices end up being dictated somewhat by the platform for which I am designing.

For example: when designing for Apple devices, I try to use typefaces available in one of the fonts displayed at http://iosfonts.com/

If I am designing for Typekit usage, I often will use Typekit to render the text I need in a browser at a large scale then import it into Photoshop and create a work path vector out of it and it tends to be sufficient. If that is too cumbersome or I am changing the copy a lot, I will usually just use a "similar" stand-in for which I already have the font file.

If I am designing something for print or for use in images (as opposed to rendered text), I tend to discover new typefaces by reading http://ilovetypography.com/, seeing them in use and then hunting them down, or in newsletters from places like http://www.myfonts.com/ and similar. Occasionally, I'll just browse the Linotype Store ( http://www.linotype.com/catalog?viewmode=overview on the web or built into Font Explorer Pro, my font-management tool at http://www.fontexplorerx.com/ ) if I'm looking for inspiration.
