Really liked the analogies they used at the beginning of the article to describe a "searcher" experience vs. "browsing" experience. A little disappointed to see that they failed to mention being a "searcher" and a "browser" are not mutually exclusive things.
I have a feeling people browse when they don't exactly know what you're looking for at a website, which would be most of the time when you enter a site. However searching happens when you KNOW a specific goal you're trying to achieve on a website.
Searching is usually less successful (many websites have shit search functions) so people are less likely to use it as well. Might account for the 5% figure.
My 2 cents.
Thank you for this. The "design in Korea" was just a guise to complain about how shitty he thinks Korea is. It was so distasteful.
