    From an engineers perspective:

    1. Use Spaces instead of Tabs (mostly an opinion, but helps with online legibility)
    2. Lint your code
    3. Use a style guide
    4. Write Unit / Benchmark tests
    5. Maintain

Man, this communities feedback style is abhorrent. All ya'll hamsters are mean.

This is great dude. One recommendation you should strongly consider is using CSS3s transform instead of positioning things via top, left, etc. Using transform: translate(x, y) will give you MASSIVE performance gains. Using the former will burden your CPU, but if you leverage the latter, it will use the power of the GPU to help deliver even more buttery smoothness.

Be sure to leverage requestAnimationFrame to debounce updated to this though! Good luck.

White space between columns needs to be commented out in your markup.

    That is unfortunate

For what it's worth, I was recruited by the people behind The Grid and it is very real. The technology behind it is great, and it is applied in fantastic and intelligent ways, but that says nothing about why they haven't released yet. It has been far too long, obviously, and there is no excuse for the way it was handled.

I ended up signing an offer at Dollar Shave Club instead.

I can't stand portfolios where the author speaks in 3rd person about themselves.
