We're still exploring, but I'm considering dropping things like version number (files should inherently have version control in them), author initials, using all lowercase, using underscores between words, etc.
Thanks for the feedback!
nice article, where would ideas around utility classes like the system that basscss has created fit into this type of architecture? the main reason is i find that a lot of view-specific styles contain basically minute tweaks and layout adjustments and spacing that could easily be solved with a well-defined utility class system, and how would that be maintained separate from things like patterns? i imagine they might live somewhere between /base and /patterns but would love to hear your thoughts.
also, if at all, would this type of styling architecture change if you're using a more modular front-end system like react?
For sure it does, I just thought it was worth a mention. Many people are diving into the space at a deeper level and I really like what Discourse is doing for their audience.
There's also Discord, which is essentially a Slack for gamers that resembles Slack as well (albeit with some additional features for the audience) - https://discordapp.com/
I'm not sure it's a huge problem, it's something that's bound to happen and I think it might actually be healthy for the industry if done right. (i.e. Tidal being a rip off Spotify)
i'd love to know how people would also use this in their email workflows like Mandril (with data), Mailchimp, Hubspot, etc.
Do you use it for biking or running? I used it for biking and it's pretty nice but hard to keep up without a dedicated device to run it on.
How do you like MindNode vs. just whiteboarding things?
Love the physical products, there's a lot we can learn from both worlds.

Haven't tried it yet but it looks dope, can you go into the dev process a bit more as a designer?
