Hi folks! Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my post. I'm heading out on a family vacation and promised my kiddo that I'd unplug. I hope that those that celebrate it have a fantastic Thanksgiving (and safe Black Friday)! I'll catch up with you all when I get back in town Nov 27th.
Hi Rhys! I'm on my way out the door, but when I get back from vacation Nov 27th I'd be happy to sift through and pull quotes. I really appreciate that you're requesting help in identifying the issues—it's a big step toward helping to solve the problem!
You folks realize that a significant number of the comments on this thread prove the point that Antonia made above, right? The majority of the design community would find this thread completely inappropriate. I'm heading into a vacation starting today and promised my kiddo I'd unplug, so I won't be able to respond to replies added to this comment. But please think before you post. This kind of behavior is not tolerated by the larger community, and the community is starting to really crack down on it. Choose your words carefully when you're responding to threads.
Yeah, it works like a charm every time!
I'm so glad you found it helpful, Elizabeth! :)
That would make a FANTASTIC article! Is it something you'd be comfortable writing? If so we could pitch it to our editor, I think it would be a really great piece!
Hi Steven—thanks for checking out the article! I tried to focus on how to engage with other designers at events comfortably as an introvert, I definitely didn't mean to imply that they should change in any way. Introverts are great, as are extroverts. No changing necessary on either side of the fence in my opinion. One of the best features of our industry is the freedom to express yourself in your own way. Do you identify as an introvert, an extrovert or a combination of both?
Nice! Thanks for sharing this!
Man, I loved Sparrow. May it RIP.
