    I appreciate the feedback!

I decided to go with a floating tab bar primarily because I wanted it to serve a dual function - a tab bar and also a primary action button while the monitor sheets are open. This just isn't possible with a full-width tab bar.

I'll try and space them out a bit more, and work on the overall accessibility, but from an aesthetic perspective, I prefer the floating bar rather than the bottom-screen overlayed.

Which dialogs were you meaning should try out the default menu? The majority have too much logic to be nested into a standard list. But I have considered moving the modals to the bottom of the screen, a pattern Apple has been following for a bit now. I just don't know if they have enough vertical height to make it a reasonable decision.

Anyways - Feedback is always appreciated, I'm incredibly happy with the launch so far, but there are a ton of features I'd like to add in the near future.

    Hey everyone - it's been a while.

I've spent the last few months working on Pager and it's by far the proudest I've ever been of a UI/UX project. I'm far from considering myself an interface designer, but I think I held my own on this one.

Pager allows you to create custom alerts for Reddit so you can stay up to date on the content you care about. You can create monitors to match post titles or post flairs, match usernames or submitted domains, query the number of upvotes or comments, as well as the position on the subreddit.

Does anyone else feel like the animation is a little off? A little over-done maybe? Way too much linear motion.

This reminds me of Inter, although it looks like it's lacking a variable font option

I don't always agree with Eli, but...

Is there some context that I'm just not getting here?

    • The animations/copy pairings under "How does it work?" feel super constrained - like Jan said, up the vertical padding there and let them breathe.
    • (Personal opinion) I think everything looks better with a system-font stack.
    • I think the font weight you're using for the headers could be reduced by 100 or 200. Instead of relying on the weight to differentiate the title from the rest of the copy, try playing with opacity or color. To me, this looks better than the heavy bold you're using.
    • The footer feels a little out of place. Like it was just thrown in there from a previous design. Maybe the call to action directly above the footer could incorporate the footer content to the left of the resting dog - you'd obviously need to adjust the vertical padding on that as well to accommodate.
