I used to use Harvest for several years. It's pretty straightforward to use and has basically everything I needed. Until I find that creating estimates was too brief in Harvest. It looked more like an invoice than a proposal. I wanted something more like creating a contract/proposal with all the details of the agreements beforehand, than a one-page quote, and create an invoice and project once the proposal is approved. I had heard of And Co before but when I looked into it again after a few years, I fell in love. It has all that Harvest had, plus more. Their invoicing and contract tools are amazing. Not intuitive at first but it's getting better. Their team have been releasing updates and a lot of new features right after another. They really listen to feature requests and their staff are very responsive in chat. Look at And Co's features. I can't find where to read their feature releases though.

Looking forward to this collaborative tool. But I was wondering if there is a way to prevent Tina from tightening a titch (account permissions or spectator-mode)?

Thank you for your time to do this. I know how to install analytics to my websites, but I don't know what to do with the data gathered from the analytics. There's just too much to know what is what. What are the important data to consider? What would be the best way/steps to optimize my website after getting the data?

I think the problem with the "iOS feeling" will arise if the user switches to different mobile phones too often. Or when the app update changes its UI drastically. Anyway, I also believe that the hamburger menu is a trend and is moving out soon. Check out the famous apps in this article and how they decided using "menu tabs" https://medium.com/mobile-growth/who-moved-my-hamburger-d237860bc589

  • Posted to Potential clients haggling on price.... How do you approach this?, Aug 20, 2015

Here are a few key ideas I read from the ebook linked below: Ask a lot of questions before the proposal. Ask even why they are bargaining the price afterwards. Make them trust you by building a relationship first. Give them packaged bundles and anchored pricing in your quotes so your solutions are not treated as costs that they can leave off. For example:

    • Option 1: Design UI/UX for new website
    • Option 2: Design UI/UX for new website based on in-depth interviews with users
    • Option 3: Design UI/UX for new website based on in-depth interviews with users plus 1 design optimization cycle based on 3 months of usage data after the initial design is deployed.

These are explained better in Nathan Powell's book, Creative Professionals Guide to Better Proposals http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Professionals-Guide-Better-Proposals-ebook/dp/B013ESTNDY/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8

Too bad that pressing ⌘ + Ctrl + Space (Mac only, emoji popup) doesn't work on PSD layer name editing. That would eliminate the extra step of copy-pasting emoji.
