FYI: this is not OSX specific and works just fine on Windows as well.

I think the design, interactions and animations are pretty well done, Nice job!

    Some thoughts, though:

    • If your core business is selling WordPress templates (which is what seems to be the case from what I can read), I think you are not doing the best job in telling this. Most of the content consists on short bio's of your designers/developers. Sure, it looks cool, but arguably lowers your conversion ratio.
    • I find it somewhat ironic that your own website is not built on WordPress. Of course you could argue that WordPress is not the right tool for this kind of job, but that could also be seen as another argument in favor of point #1.
    • When clicking on one of the bio's, I think it should be possible to easily navigate to another bio in a prev/next manner. Would love keyboard arrow keys to be used for this purpose as well.
    • Same goes for your templates :)

All in all: the website looks cool, but I think you are not bringing your message across in the best possible way.

Sidenote: the WordPress templates themselves look pretty well thought out. Kudos!

Can someone summarize what this is? I have spent 5 minutes on this website and to be quite honest, I really don't have a clue.

Judging from the photography, it is a box containing cards and brainstorm tools, but the content seems to implicate that no physical product is involved.

This blog might not be the exact way things played out: https://medium.com/p/ed75a0ee7641 (post by Julie Zhuo, product design director @ Facebook).

Dustin makes a few assumptions about the rationale behind the redesign, including how some of the beauty and cleanliness of the initial version tested a year ago was discarded for the sake of short-term metrics. I thought it’d be helpful to shed some light on the real reasons why the design has evolved.

  • Posted to Google Reader is shutting down today, and here is the better alternative, Jul 01, 2013

It looks a good minimalistic alternative to Google Reader. The interface looks clean and does not clutter my screen with dozens of 'social features' I did not ask for.

The UI could use some real polishing, though:

    • Most of the icons, if not all, are lacking title attributes
    • Most of the icons, if not all, are lacking a hover state
    • Some items have 1-3 red dots next to them. I am guessing this is a popularity indicator, but once again, I am left to guess.
    • "Mark as read" requires two clicks and does not have a keyboard shortcut
    • I'd really like to have some control over the font sizing, especially in the sidebar. Would love to see it more smaller and more compact.
