Be nice. Or else.
Yeah, same here.
Thats most likely because they're made by the same people. I thought the same thing, then I realised it's from Vox.
Site feels a little busy and mismatched to me, the sections don't really flow into one another well and the visual hierarchy is a bit confusing.
That aside, it's a nice site, especially looking around at some competitors efforts. Reflects the brand well.
Can't say I'm a fan of that. Huge non-retina images of iphones don't really float my boat, especially when they're 'showing off' a pretty boring UI.
I'm not really enjoying the direction of any of the design around this 'new foursquare' - I hate the shade of blue, I'm bored of helvetica neue and the look and feel isn't exciting or particularly well executed. I'm not saying everything needs to be over designed and really slick, but a bit more love and effort spent on the typography, imagery and execution of the UI elements would have gone a long way here.
Great article and spot on as far as I'm concerned. It's generally how I try to work - although I'm not particularly clever, so that probably helps.
True. I smiled and I'm pretty grumpy.
I come across more designers, good ones working for good companies and producing good work, that haven't heard of DN than ones that have. Thats not knocking it, just putting it into perspective. Sometimes it's easy to get complacent and assume this is the place all designers hang out.
Theres a good sized user base here, but comments do tend to come from the same people more often than not, which is usually the case in communities like this one.
Seems to have forgotten that drive is a cloud storage solution, not simply a place to store and edit documents.
Well, thats disappointing. Found something I'd like to work on, went to apply only to find I need an invite code.
Can I have an invite code please?
Really cool idea that, nice and easy to find someone and book them too. Nice one.
