Hey, Co-Founder of Codeship here. Steve approached me a few months back and when he told me about this app I was super excited. Seeing the final outcome is really great.

Great use of material design and in terms of usability very true to how we intend our application to work. Great job Steve!

Hey Juliano, we've got a 1-click-integration for deploying with Capistrano :) You can have a look here:

    https://codeship.io/documentation/continuous-deployment/deployment-with-capistrano/

Basically after all your tests pass you can deploy via Capistrano straight out of Codeship.

    Cheers, Manuel

Hey Haki, interesting information: From the tweets we are getting and looking at the click-through rate the button performs very well. Developers definitely get the joke :)

Hey Bryce, yes – I agree. We ran into the problem of providing meaningful (!) pictures of such a technical space like Codeship is working in.

Our goal is to create a very human and friendly atmosphere while at the same time providing the coolness and cleanliness of a techy design. We are still looking for photographs that work better. If you have any suggest I'd love to hear them :)

    Cheers, Manuel (co-founder of Codeship)

Hey Juliano, I am one of the co-founders of Codeship and happy to provide a bit more insight.

We test and, when everything is fine, deploy your software continuously. Once set up (you provide your test and setup commands via our web UI and connect your GitHub or Bitbucket repository) we test your code every time you push your code.

If something goes wrong we won't deploy your code and notify you via email or chat services like Slack, Hipchat etc.

Let me know if I should go more into detail. If so we should get this conversation to email :)

    Best, Manuel

Hey Jasper, thanks for your feedback. We whole-heartedly agree with your critique of the backend. That's why we are currently working very hard on a redesign.

The first iteration of the new in-app design will be online in 2 weeks. (Hint: NOT blue ;))

Let me know if you want to chat a bit more (co-founder here)

Very good input on the "Free ebook" in the nav, we will soon get rid of this! Thanks Bart :)
