Yup! They're a funk band called Vulfpeck, and for anyone that doesn't already know of them, check them out!
Afaik Jack didn't design the font himself, but he comissioned OHNO to make Vulf Mono and Sans.
So memeable
Should I be pronouncing Semplice the Italian way (Sempli-che)?

I mean, it is not really a performance issue - currently the kit uses an ease-in easing where it starts slow and gradually gets faster throughout the ripple animation, but since the purpose of the animation is to show to the user that their touch has been acknowledged, I would think an ease-out easing would be better in this context which has much more immediate results.
From design.google.com, it seems this easing function is also suggested by Google for these purposes, as seen in the example videos.

IMO the ripple effect does not seem fluid, surely an ease-out easing would be more appropriate for showing immediate touch feedback?
It's all banter in the end
