Posted to Today, I am a real designer., Nov 06, 2015 Posted to Dropbox new (font) logo, Oct 15, 2015 I think the new logo is just ready. But not ready to be deployed. However the ad needed to be shipped, and since you can't just change the logo in a video than gonna last months, they decided to share it in advance... This would make more sense IMO
