It would be great if Sketch took type seriously. The current tools for styling text are a joke. TextEdit has more powerful typography tools.

I don't know… I think those types of animations are becoming ubiquitous but, I think they can still be effective and take advantage of the capabilities of the medium.

This site handles all the bells and whistles in a really conservative and elegant way. And most importantly it keeps the focus on the content.

I also think that folks like us spend a lot of time looking at sites like these - and that we get burnt on styles and gimmicks that the general audience hasn't necessarily been overexposed to…

Does YNAB work if you aren't actually a month ahead on expenses like it recommends?

I think you're right. The core of my point is they should only be as long as they need to be. Memory Palace has had 6-minute episodes that had a big emotional impact and I know that This American Life routinely tackles subjects that barely fit into an hour and could easily justify a longer episode here or there if they weren't on the actual radio.
