Thats a good question! I work kind of remotely too for couple of days a week. I have to say that working remotely is much more productive than working in office. Though office gives the human touch which I think is important too, like going out with colleagues for lunch, etc.
Thats awesome! Congrats, I'll be joining Elastic too next month. A great place to work at!
Great article, very informative!
Hi everyone! Sharing my latest work on UX design/web design. Its a very colorful yet simple infographic for Oracle. We see beautiful infographics in the industry but sometimes I feel they can be bit overwhelming to actually read. My goal was to create a page which is very readable and easy to digest by the user and follow Oracle's design system.
Let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions, will be happy to address if there are any questions for me too.
Thank you!
Yes absolutely, performance is very low of Invision Studio. The software looks really good, especially the dark interface which I personally prefer. But overall its difficult to perform simple tasks.
For example: I created a group of layers and turned that into a symbol, but then I wanted to ungroup it and add some other details. The software completely distorted all the layers once I ungrouped it.
I just exited the software after that.
This group is for all those people who are working in the field of design (ranging from graphics, visual, digital, UI/UX, web, interior, architecture, fashion, jewelry, furniture or product design).
Design is a field where it's important to discuss the concepts and reasoning behind all pieces of work. This group is to encourage designers to meet for a show and tell session where they can share there work and have a healthy conversation regarding it.
While finishing my masters at Parsons in New York, we used to have these amazing sessions where anybody can talk about their work using sketches, visuals, research, etc and get some feedback from other designers.
The intention is not get give a critic but just to have a conversation with people coming from different perspectives and backgrounds.
Even we are using Invision board for documenting brand guidelines currently: https://projects.invisionapp.com/boards/CJ34DJSN978WR
Its pretty good for basic guidelines. The board can't handle too much detail though.

My experience is to involve the content writers early on in the process especially when you are building the information architecture. But obviously they'll be needing atleast the first wireframe to start working on the copy just so they understand the context, character limits and the flow of the product.
