This is awesome... hopefully we see more of this consolidation/integration across products...waiting for invite...
lol.. well done. Is this an actual C&H comic?
Although it's true that they should learn the basics, I believe that if you really want someone to get into coding/design, they should start playing around with things like JQuery that make it simpler to do a lot of things and then try to understand how it works underneath (ie Javascript).
If they have to start worrying about HTTP requests and file size from the get go it's a lot more things to worry about before seeing the end result.
In my opinion this is akin to Python vs C++, although not a direct analogy.
Interesting... I actually tried the search and couldn't see the same on the google.com site (everything except for the box was the same).. didn't try any of the other domains at that point. Might have been an issue on my side... Thanks for pointing this out.
Neat plugin! I'm having an issue with the material font icons, the FontAwesome ones show up but the material ones are just boxes with Xs in them. Any advice?
Nice one. Interesting that it's only on the Google turkey site.
Whatever you do, just don't let them be used for spam/pop-up ads...
Nice site.. I keep forgetting you can do a lot of these things in Photoshop ( similar to Sketch)...Plugins help improve productivity so much...
I feel like the second one is almost a dark pattern where they're trying to get you to sign up for both daily/weekly updates. I would assume this would probably annoy more people and make them opt out.

I like the design but wasn't a fan of the dots/slider. I had to click on the individual bubbles to read the info. I then tried to click and drag and it changed (no affordance).
