One of the best landing pages I have seen. Step by step simple introductions makes the idea feel extremely cool, even though I would never consider mass emailing people, let alone customers on a moment's notice.

The solution is simple: Design News should run a contest for t-shirt design.

Long time usertesting.com customer here. Peek is a great way to try out usertesting.com. We use them both to get to see the experience of the first time users and to test out new features on our existing users.

What we do is to order 2-3 tests and watch them on our wall using a projector. We constantly pause and discuss things while watching the videos. It is a fun event for the development/design team.

Usually, the first few tests are extremely useful and soul crashing. But, once you fix the common issues, the users become more and more successful and the tests become more and more boring. :)

Launch will only get you a short attention of people who are not even your potential users/customers, and then flock will move away.

But, it is not completely useless. Having a launch plan gives you deadline to complete your product. Otherwise, you might continue "perfecting" it for a long time. It gives you a chance to think carefully about what is important for the first version and to get those things things done.

I think you mean something like this: http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/labelless

In this example, the inline label moves to the right side of the text box. It is visible until you start writing. I guess the assumption is that once you start typing, you will not forget what the field was.

Congratulations! Both the landing page and the video is excellent. You seem to have spent quite a lot of time on the image editor. There are many products in this spacebut I don't think the other products have such a good image editor.

One suggestion I have is that I think you should consider allowing people demo the product without creating an account.

One approach is to start with a full vision: Build a shell for your product, and then plan to implement inside with time. This approach never works well.

A better approach is the cupcake approach. Start with the most simple version of the product you envision. Push it to the users. Get their feedback. Do usability testing. Then iterate.

This cake metaphor ties in nicely with Galls Law: A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked. The inverse proposition also appears to be true: A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be made to work. You have to start over, beginning with a working simple system.
