No, the opposite.
I am saying that communication skills are not essential to designing good products. They help, but not essential.
The product you are designing needs to do the communication. In a simple sense: You can design a great poster for an event that captures attention, conveys the details and people feel emotion without you being a great communicatior on your own and in a social fashion.
Although it helps, not denying that.
For me it was the fact that the first lesson is "Building a Simple Component".
I am all up for getting up and running quickly, but skimming over the foundations of what react does vs javascript etc will probably backfire once you try to make something a little more complex.

Stop spamming please. At least make an effort to paste relevant content.
Quick thing: Explore to see if you are able to make the "Case Study" card clickable instead of just the button.
Since you don't have any other conflicting interactions happening on the card, you can make it clickable as a whole.
Also, I would prefer the text on the articles with a bit more contrast.
Nice work nevertheless!

Audiomack also has an interesting similar solution by including it in the sidebar.
Whats the point of the page then? Do the user a favor a link to the app store.
EDIT: Ok, now I understand thats not an app, but a website on mobile.
