This is classic Foursquare. Great design, and was worth the wait. The iPad version feels like the best version yet.

The goddamn shift key, broken since iOS 7.1. Never sure whether or not the next letter is going to be uppercase or not.

Swipe up from the globe to immediately open that menu.

This is super slow on Safari 7.0.5. It works most find on Chrome, though.

If you had to ask for a designer, I'd go for the iPhone.

    1. Better typography (support for advanced typographical features), font choices, and font rendering.

    2. The display. It's quite small by today's standards (unless you're willing to wait), but it's extremely colour-accurate and has excellent contrast. High-end Android phones are very similar, though.

    3. App ecosystem. iOS 7 has been terrifically well supported by applications. Some incredible app designs have been released for iOS 7. IMO it serves as fantastic inspiration.

    4. I'd also highlight the excellent native PDF reader that is incredibly fast. I've found it to be very handy.

Do you think the more encouraged (read: Facebook login) route provides a better experience? It involves far fewer steps and begins provides immediate value (if they've allowed access to their friends list).
