are.na replaced it pretty neatly for me
This looks like a great alternative, thanks for sharing.
They have a native export tool, which works with any channel.
Since a popular tool like ffffound vanished so surprisingly and left lots of great content behind, it's important to have some sort of “escape route” for your content – before the same happens to are.na. You never know.
The front page on ffffound was the best... wish are.na would implement a similar feature.
I know it's not the same buuut right before they shut down, they let us (Pinterest) build a quick importer tool so if you search for "ffffound" and filter by boards you can access ffffound content that was imported
Think it's sad that Pintrest was offered access to this amazing resource and instead of creating something for the Internet Archive that would outlive their company and provide this resource for everyone they decided to wrap it all into their walled garden.
"It Belongs in a Museum" comes to mind...
Maybe I should of clarified – We reached out to FFFFOUND and asked them if they would allow us to build an import tool to try and preserve a tiny bit of that content, they didn't offer it.... If I worked for the Internet Archive I would of proposed to do the same.
I was always a fan of designspiration.net which came well before Pinterest. ffffound was great but searching on it would get NSFW reallllly quick.
same
Nothing is like ffffound. ffffound was cult.
I miss mlkshk.
They used to bring boyz to the yard. Ok, I'll see myself out...
I miss it so much. I used it every day right after it launched. I was lucky to port everything over to this other service Wookmark. Try it out here are my saves
Does anyone a ffffound invite?

You mean you can't find softcore pornography elsewhere on the internet?
Not masquerading as artistic inspiration for wannabe creative directors. Solid niche.
