This is a cool idea. I think it might be helpful to add a bit of a description of what the company does. For example:

Hey There, I am Carmen, owner of yiyi.org. We are looking for someone that can create a simple logo for our business. I think a combination mark will fit best with the business. Can you help us out?

This description doesn't tell me anything about the company or the product/service they provide, making it difficult to come up with an appropriate combination mark.

How awesome would an additional feedback generator be that randomly throws shit at you (or rarely praises your work) once you upload something?

I highly recommend going through open source github projects as well if you need some logo design practice. It could be a great way to help the community as well as build connections in the case you need to find work in the future.

This is how I met one of my best recurring clients. Working on some small projects can sometimes yield great lasting partnerships.

Cool and all, but those aren't briefs. Those are things people say at a party when you mention you do graphic design :P

Clients, or just people who want something from me, usually send a way longer email, describing how "industry breaking" and "revolutionary" their idea for two sided pants is. But from that you can get some valuable information for the design, or at least understanding of the client.

With a random lowest budget possible, that would help ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
