Whew. What exactly is new? It seems just as laggy and complicated as before, but with fancier (more demanding) animations.
Microsoft is slowly winning me over. :)
Undoing the ribbon is not innovation, but I'm glad it's happening.
The typos in the video content draw the eye and distract from what they're trying to present. "UX and desing", "a n Excel" etc.
I don't like their fluent design because there is no innovation in it. Why do they even need to create their own design?? I mean there is no need for that because nothing is new there. They used shadows(mass) from google material design, though. The only thing I liked is they are improving UX that they introduced search bar and a couple of things which will help to the people, not the fluent design.
People don't want to admit it, but Microsoft started the push into minimalism with Metro design. Fluent Design is their way to pull back on flat design and add some depth for 3D UI / AR Design.
