Hashtag:BringSkeuomorphismBack...Those buttons look so juicy...
I hope I'm not the only one who left fingerprints on their screen...
Buttons reminded me of the ones on Eli Schiff's blog.
Stripe.
Hey, thanks for this comment. What makes you think that way?
I think it's less Stripe-y then it was...
You're likely still seeing the old site
WHaaaaAAAt?? THis ISn't FLAT desIGn!!
On board with everything except those godawful buttons. Please, PLEASE, can we not go down that road again.
Same boat. I'm trying to like the buttons but I just can't. I'm down with some subtle gradients and drop shadows but these are a bit too much IMO. Just personal preference, though. If it works for their audience then it's a win!
True! Purely an aesthetic gripe on my part.
Sorry if I sound rude, but I think Algolia has no idea where to go from a brand perspective, especially when you consider the two last redesigns that have been done. Such a waste of a great product that deserves better!
Not sure why the other's are saying stripe. Hater's gonna hate I guess. Looks nothing like stripe to me. Great design overall! Hope these buttons will do it's work ;)
It's the two tone icons. They feel like the same pallet as Stripe.
that line pattern in the header is a bit overwhelming to me and when you scroll down it does look a lot like a stripe website to be honest.
Perfectly informative and useful but I'm not familiar with the product so don't know what the redesign to this style fixes or improves.
I think they're pivoting towards promoting their adoption rates (aka "look at all these brands we support now!") vs. simply promoting the tool itself, which is probably a good place to be for Algolia.
It bugs me an extraordinary amount that the directional lighting on the buttons isn't matched in the shading of the illustrations - it ruins the illusion of tactility.
Yeah that was annoying me too. I couldnt care less about the skeumorphism, but at least get all the light sources consistent.
I love the redesign. Less color leaves me paying more attn to the content on the page. Love the light colors still tho. Nice job!
