MS Paint was so much better in those days. It actually had a niche use, in that it did pixels. Full stop. No anti-aliasing horsemanure. Just pixels.

I loved doing pixel art in it. Absolutely loved it. It was so god damn binary, so crazily simple, that it had a USE. I was better at pixel manipulation than Photoshop. Because all it COULD do was pixels.

I miss old MS Paint :'(

I agree with you 100%. I created so much pixel art in MS Paint back in the day. I recently tried to recreate the experience in Photoshop but forget about it man.

Paint was the internet back then. That's where a lot of people spent most of their time. That and BannerMania!

It was actually a great way to make quick edits and pass the time painting pixelized masterpieces. I probably spent more time on it then what I could be proud of.

It's not a question of the product's overall quality, but the way it reached the general public with Windows 95. You needed some degree of technical knowledge to deal with a computer before Win95 came around. It was game changing in a way that no other version of Windows was until now. Now, obviously, there are a lot of better OS out there by now.
