How I choose a best fit Wordpress hosting providers as a designer?

Hi guys,

Recently I'm ready to go WordPress as my portfolio website, former I use Tumblr tho. But here the thing, I'm a designer(graphics, branding, print mainly, just start in UIUX field tho), but not familiar with code/development, this WordPress website, not a blog, but will be used as an official personal / studio portfolio site, its main features are: * portfolio * display works * with email newsletter Subscribe * perhaps will include a shop e-commerce function (not very sure, just an option for now) * My target location mainly are US,UK,AU,CA, and Europe mainly, but overall no limited just worldwide.

So I Have a few questions need you guys pro to help:

  1. should I choose "share-hosting" or "managed-hosting" plan?
  2. should I install wordpress locally and then upload to hosting? Or install online directly? which is more good and easy for me?
  3. For FTP on Mac, which you think better? I know some are Classic FTP, Cyberduck, Transmit , FileZilla etc. How do you think ?
  4. I know there are many hosting providers, but which is best fit my type? My budget for this is tight, so cost is definitely an issue. For now based on my search, there have: Bluehost Dreamhost Siteground HostGator Flywheel Pagely WP Engine A2 imotion

What I care: 1. speed 2.safety 3. loading speed 4. if Linux hosting ( I want a Linux based hosting) 5. stability 6. whether can backup 7. whether can Multiple Websites? ( for now as start is one website, perhaps in the next few years I 'll need another 3-4 WordPress websites) 8. Web Space. I'm not sure how much is a good fit for designer /studio portfolio site? 20G is enough? 9. Visits Monthly. I'm not sure how many visitors will visit my site, so how I know which visit flow /monthly is fit me or not?

For me the WP Engine and Flywheel and Pagely are too high.. So I'm thinking make a decision between Siteground and Bluehost..

Any suggestions? Which better you think?

And what should I do after WordPress installed? Any extra thing I should consider?

However thanks so much in advance. Happy New Year everybody ; )
