Make a long story short: My Portfolio

12 days ago from , Student

Hello DN,

Over the past one-and-a-half year I consistently spent time to design and develop my portfolio site. It took me a long time to get everything done, especially because I had not much spare time besides my job, my freelancing, my college courses and of course my social life.

Hence I am very proud that I can finally show you my portfolio-site: yannicgraeser.de

The three big challenges for me were:

  1. Thinking of a design which I don’t have to change so quickly (hopefully). I did a lot of scribbling and experimenting in sketch.

  2. Getting my content together, texting, particularly the projects, gather all images.

  3. Developing the site. My daily business is concepting and designing, I am not a programmer. Because of that some of you might miss some JS-magic and motion. But I did my best to develop a fast, clean and functional site.

Unfortunately most of the projects I did in the agency are under NDA or B2B work which I am not allowed to show on my portfolio, but I try to extend it as soon as possible.

To-Dos:

  • Prevent „Work (Arbeiten)“ content from jumping when loaded/not loaded
  • Make site more accessible (meaningful alt-attributes, labels etc.)

I am happy about your criticism and feedback regarding functionality, design and everything else you want to talk about :)

Thanks for reading!

Yannic
