HIDDEN NAVIGATION - Do not hesitate to use it on your page, especially if it makes your design look better.
This is terrible advice. Don't hide your navigation from your users unless there is a really good reason to do so.

We do understand what it means. The point was: there is a lot of research showing that hiding navigation can make your harder to use and less effective.

Suggesting that you should ALWAYS do it, purely because it looks good, is a really bad piece of advice.
