My first experience with Eli came from the comment section on this site. He seemed to be incredibly divisive and came off as combative both in here and on Twitter.
And I have to say I've been enjoying this podcast series. Even when I disagree with some of the points made, the conversational format lends a kind of nuance.
Really enjoyed this interview. I agree with Marc that Adobe XD needs to be a better design tool coming from a company as big as Adobe.
Some of the most basic features are missing like,
- Can't drag and drop layers to reorder.
- Saving Fills only works for Solid Fills and not Gradients.
- Text tool always defaults to the "Seguo UI" font.
- No color profile management when PS, AI, AE have it.
Another ultimately pointless, but no less infuriating issue:
Why does the logo have these awful rounded corners when nothing else in the main product lineup does?
I too continue to be dubious about "all-in-one" solutions, so it was great to hear this concern aired despite feeling a bit alone in this regard.
Listened to this this morning, really good.
