Hmm, am I the only one baffled by the context this feature is stuffed into?

Myself, while Preferences are globally applied, I tend to think of that area as a center that I set and forget for global preferences/ presets not elements, etc.

I rarely go to that area - it's one reason I manage plugin updates via Runner versus Sketch > Preferences. It's more context appropriate and thus, top of mind.

The Sketch Preferences area appears to be morphing into this meta junk door for global - whatever.

    Maybe I'm missing something.

Do you all dig around Preferences that often?

    This looks short-sighted.

So long as you're dealing in files, you will have conflict when multiple people need to edit those shared files at the same time. Brand.ai is a better solution as it actually acts more like Git, where you push changes up to the library.

    I welcome our Figma overlords.

You can always edit a copy and then replace it in the master file. Not as seamless but also not that much work.

Seems like a very very small edge case solved by a "Hey i'm in the Component Library" shout via Slack. I welcome the new native Sketch Libraries feature.

You shouldn't need to be editing the main library files THAT often anyway. Yes, obviously, it will be updated from time to time but that should be a discussion that happens with the entire team, and logged

Yeah exactly. Keeping the files in sync in the first place is a huge pain point that Sketch is solving "mainly" with existing infrastructure in their app. Great feature. Will use. Will love.

"This menu was also updated: the new version of Sketch only shows the folder in which you’ll find the current override symbol. An improvement compared to the current version, where you have to navigate all the way through your symbol structure."

All those times I got to that third or fourth folder in the tree, get a little bit loose with my mouse arrow and (GAH!) had to start over again. This might be the 2nd coolest update in the new version!

This is the ultimate feature That hav been looking for a whil. But I am not sure about how well the feature is integrated...

The idea about linking sketch files to the application rather than the document is a non sense to me..
