wow just realized that my portfolio had been shared here. Thanks for all the love folks!

Clay, yeah I decided to throw out my custom site and use squarespace short-term for two reasons: 1) I didn't want development to eat into my sabbatical 2) way easier to manage all the assets and focus on content and user experience. I had to write a lot of CSS and JavaScript though to customize the site (e.g the navigation). So for any designer wanting to use SS, just know that you will have to get under the hood to make it usable and differentiated.

    Nice work!

I think there’s a missed opportunity with the home page responsive styles. For example, when I loaded the site, I saw 3 case studies in the first row… and an orphan in the second row.

The current system seems designed for n case studies… but since there are currently 4, I would constrain the layout to 1, 2 or 4 columns for balance.

I've found the ester egg and it's really intuitive.

    This is really, really beautiful.

Clean type, clear rhythm, simple layout, and strong content. Plus, the scrolling feels silky-smooth. Can't beat that.

    Huge kudos to the designer.

Well thought out design. Coming away from this I feel like I have good understanding of the how, in how you work, how you design, how you process etc.. DN'ers pay attention! Great job.
